Our love for “projects” and “big iron” comes from humble beginnings. Growing up in West Texas’ mountains and rocks, some of our earliest memories are of riding with our Father in an old Gallion Motor Grader maintaining the roads on the expansive West Texas Ranch we lived on. The bench seat seemed enormous and all the levers and pedals made us regard our Father in awe because of his ability to operate them all.
From a very early age we were involved in Ranch projects. In addition to the daily “cowboy” chores, there are always water lines to install/repair, water troughs to clean/build/repair, roads to grade, creek crossings to build/repair and hunting camp buildings to maintain and repair.
Water and roads are a key to the effective operation of a Ranch. Well watered pastures means a well managed Ranch because livestock can utilize every corner of the big country. Well maintained roads are crucial for all aspects of daily life at the Ranch, from shipping livestock to market to the basics of getting to the highway to catch the school bus every morning.
We approach every project with a couple basic rules: Make this as simple and cost effective as possible, listen to the client’s needs and concerns and then use our broad base of experience to get it done.
