Man Camps

Department of State Air wing at KAF contracted C&C to construct 5 stages of Camp Valdez from 2006 to 2011.

The project consisted of hard standing concrete paving 18” thick with a grounding system for arming missile systems on rotary wing aircraft, parking areas for 24 rotary wing aircraft with cast-in tie-downs and shrapnel barriers on three sides of each parking area.

In addition to the 200,000sf plus concrete paving and parking area C&C was contracted to build 7 barracks buildings, office and MWR facilities, an armory, clinic, aircraft maintenance and workshop facilities, full 60 hertz electric grid with backup generation, water well and RO water purification and an on-site sewage treatment plant.
